Lying in bed next to my husband on a lazy Sunday morning watching "Meet the Press".

While scrolling through Safari on my iPhone, Ted, as he is wont to do, directs a certainly snarky yet arguably amusing comment in my direction.  Laughing, I tell him that I wished my iPhone was a taser.

Without missing a beat, I say "Hmmm, I wonder if there is an app for that?"

Laura's Modern Day Dilemma

Ordered bananas from Fresh Direct and they arrived at the peak of ripeness. 

Said bananas were covered in brown spots in just over 24 hours. 

(cue internal dialogue)

Banana bread?

Don't really want it around the house. Still, don't want to waste bananas.

Cookbook has a recipe for low fat banana bread.

That can't really be good, can it?

I could stick them in the freezer.

And there they will sit until the day you get tired of the fact that they are taking up all that room.

I really don't want to throw them out.

Looks like I'm making banana bread.

Riveting stuff happening in the brain of mine.  Riveting.

Where did it all go?

I've been struggling with the type of blogger I want to be for a long time now.  I started blogging seven years ago as a way to continue my "journaling" on a modern platform. I've always enjoyed writing and found great comfort in sharing my innermost fears and anxiety.  Except for a very long time all I really had to offer was anxiety and fear as I fought my way through a good many years of debilitating depression.  Having come through to the other side, I found that this blog was too much of a downer. While I not only acknowledge but also honor where it all came from - I needed to purge it all and create a veritable virtual clean slate. Bring some levity to the playing field.
